After three games on the road, Weiser is heading back home. They will take on the Homedale Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Weiser was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-46 to Fruitland.
Meanwhile, Homedale pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-55 to Fruitland. Homedale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Homedale saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tiana Sorenson, who scored 13 points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Sorenson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Asumendi, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Weiser's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Homedale, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-11.
Weiser strolled past Homedale in their previous meeting last Thursday by a score of 44-29. Does Weiser have another victory up their sleeve, or will Homedale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
