The South Callaway Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight loss. They were dealt a 55-23 defeat at the hands of Linn. While losing is never fun, South Callaway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Wildcats are ranked 182nd).
Linn got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Vivien Baker out in front who scored ten points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Senevey, who scored nine points along with two steals.
South Callaway dropped their record down to 3-17 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.7 points per game. As for Linn, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Callaway will take on the Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Linn, they will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
