The Westside Seminoles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They managed a 52-46 victory over Northeast. That's another feather in the cap for Westside, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Westside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Frazier, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Frazier continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Talton, who scored 20 points.
Westside's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Northeast, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-9 record last season and are now at 6-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westside will take on Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rutland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rutland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
