Basketball Recap: Lagrange Academy Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

LaGrange Academy had won seven straight games and Kayde Bradfield did his part to make it eight on Friday. LaGrange Academy blew past the Oak Mountain Academy Warriors, posting a 63-33 victory thanks in part to Bradfield, who went 13 for 15 en route to 27 points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game.

Owen Sells was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played.

Oak Mountain Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Leonardo Massi, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Jeb Harper, who put up 11 points along with seven boards and three steals.

LaGrange Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Oak Mountain Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

LaGrange Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-48 victory against Eastwood Christian on the 18th. As for Oak Mountain Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-26 defeat against Holy Ground Baptist Academy on the 23rd.
