Baseball Recap: Galt Has No Trouble Against Florin

Galt won the last time they faced Florin and things went their way on Thursday too. The Galt Warriors were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Florin Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Anthony Garcia made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Carlo Sterni was a standout: he scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-6. Another player making a difference was Tyler Braun, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Galt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Florin only posted an OBP of .364.

Galt's record now sits at 2-0. As for Florin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galt will host Bret Harte at 3:30 p.m. on March 6th. As for Florin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfield at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
