The Victory Christian Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Hawthorne Christian Academy at home to the tune of 71-41. That 30 points margin sets a new team best for Victory Christian this season.
Hawthorne Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Clay Ballard, who scored 11 points. Thomas Clinton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
The win got Victory Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Hawthorne Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harvest Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Hawthorne Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Carolina Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
