Glen Allen's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Worsham, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 50% of Glen Allen's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lindsey Shoulders, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Thomas Dale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nylah Wilson, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Timani Harris, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Glen Allen's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for Thomas Dale, their victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0.
Glen Allen will face off against Hermitage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hermitage will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Glen Allen is ranked 44th). As for Thomas Dale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against John Marshall at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Thomas Dale's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
