On Saturday, Roy was able to grind out a solid win over Minico, taking the game 57-46. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Roy has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bronson Belnap, who scored 18 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Dahlen Pontius, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Roy and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Minico, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Roy will be home for the holidays to greet Ben Lomond at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Ben Lomond is ranked 81st, while Roy is ranked 84th). Minico will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Nampa at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
