South Anchorage had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt West Anchorage on Thursday. South Anchorage got a great performance from Carson Lake as he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits.
On the hitting side, Chase Mascelli and Logan Geuss did most of the damage at the plate: Mascelli went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI, while Geuss went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
