Gaige Stuckey made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Brody McBee and Austin T Brown did most of the damage at the plate: McBee went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Brown got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
