Softball Recap: Lawrence North Wins Going Away Against Warren Central

Lawrence North never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Warren Central Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sydney Moss made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Moss was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

In other batting news, Jaida Wheat was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa Kramer, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Lawrence North has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Warren Central, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Lawrence North will head out to square off against Brownsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Warren Central, they will welcome Lawrence Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.44 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
