Boston University Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against Marie Philip by a score of 61-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for Boston University Academy.
Despite the loss, Marie Philip still got an impressive performance from Xavier DeLeon, who scored 31 points along with seven steals. That was a full 57.4% of Marie Philip's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Novas, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Boston University Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Marie Philip, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-3.
Boston University Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Waring at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marie Philip will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against American School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully American School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on January 8th.
