After flying high against the Concord Christian Lions last Thursday, the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions came back down to earth. Lakeway Christian Academy fell 51-39 to the Rams on Friday. If Lakeway Christian Academy was looking for revenge after losing 62-54 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Grace Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Hammock, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Hammock is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Hill, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Lakeway Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Grace Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
Lakeway Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grace Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Academy is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
