The Brattleboro Bears were the 68-45 winner over the Mount Anthony Patriots when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Brattleboro fell 65-52 to Mount Anthony on Thursday. Brattleboro has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Brattleboro still got an impressive performance from Johnathon Haskins, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Haskins scored a full 30.8% of Brattleboro's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Emery, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Brattleboro now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Mount Anthony, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.
Brattleboro has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Otter Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Mount Anthony will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Mt. Abraham at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Vermont (Mt. Abraham is ranked 46th, while Mount Anthony is ranked 36th).
