After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lowell, La Porte was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Michigan City Wolves get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Slicers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.
Kieanna Simpson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last five contests. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, La Porte let Madi Squire and Evie Travis run wild. Squire went 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs, while Travis went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Travis has posted since back in April. Shayla Sorg was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
