Hagerty is 2-8 against Lake Mary since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hagerty Huskies will be playing at home against the Lake Mary Rams at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Hagerty beat Seminole 53-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hagerty.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hagerty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kylee Kitts, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. Kitts is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ciara Hayes, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Lake Mary put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 56-27 win over Lyman on the road. Given Lake Mary's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Lyman is ranked 533rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hagerty is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Lake Mary, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
