The Dobson Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Skyline 73-41 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-18.
Zayn Young continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Donovan Beard was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from Joseph Fulkerson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylan Chichester, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Skyline smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dobson only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Dobson is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Skyline, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
Dobson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Skyline also has no future games currently scheduled.
