The Andress Eagles's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 52-10 victory over Parkland at home. The win was just what Andress needed coming off of a 61-30 loss in their prior matchup.
Leading Andress to victory were Genesis Fernandez and Jada Martin-Lewis. Fernandez scored 15 points along with three steals, while Martin-Lewis scored 14 points. That's the first time this season that Fernandez scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paula Wilson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Andress' victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Parkland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.
Andress will head out on the road to face off against Ysleta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Parkland will be home for the holidays to greet Burges at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Burges focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
