South Windsor extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Kailie Girard. The Bobcats came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Woodstock Academy Centaurs for which the team can thank Girard, who had 13 kills, ten digs, four aces, and two blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 34 games she's played dating back to last season.

South Windsor took Woodstock Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-14, 21-25, 15-6.

Woodstock Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gianna Musumeci, who had 14 digs and one assist.

South Windsor now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Woodstock Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-6.

South Windsor has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against East Catholic on the 17th. As for Woodstock Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Amity Regional on the 18th.
