The Anclote Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Zephyrhills Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anclote is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Anclote's 18-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gulf.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Zephyrhills were a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They were outmatched by River Ridge on the road and fell 54-15. While losing is never fun, Zephyrhills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while River Ridge is ranked 24th).
Anclote's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Zephyrhills, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
Anclote strolled past Zephyrhills in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 57-43. Does Anclote have another victory up their sleeve, or will Zephyrhills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
