It was a good run, but Rector unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 75-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bay Yellowjackets. The Cougars were probably out for revenge after losing 66-51 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rector's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4. As for Bay, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.

Rector will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Buffalo Island Central at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Bay will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against ESTEM at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
