The Paseo Academy of Performing Arts Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 79-42 defeat at the hands of Central.
Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Moore led the charge by scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Moore is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Ra'mondre Fritz was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Paseo Academy of Performing Arts' loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paseo Academy of Performing Arts will take on Metro Academy at TBD on Tuesday. Metro Academy is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Central, they will be playing at home against Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
