The Stroudsburg Mountaineers will face off against the Abington Heights Comets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Stroudsburg sitting on three straight wins and Abington Heights on six.
On Thursday, Stroudsburg earned a 12-7 victory over Northampton.
Anthony Knight was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Paul Maccarrone was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Will Fergusson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Stroudsburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Abington Heights made easy work of Wallenpaupack Area on Thursday and carried off a 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Stroudsburg, Abington Heights also got a great game from a two-way player: Reese Zalewski. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Zalewski was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Nick Bradley was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Thomas LaCoe, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Stroudsburg's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Abington Heights, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
