It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the River View Panthers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Asotin at home to the tune of 47-20. The win was familiar territory for River View who now have eight in a row.
River View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hyatt Clark, who threw for 212 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Rawlings, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Asotin's loss came despite strong showings from Cody Ells and Peter Eggleston. Ells rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, while Eggleston rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown.
River View has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.22 points. As for Asotin, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
River View will head out on the road to face off against Napavine at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Napavine is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Asotin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
