The Christian Home Educators Fellowship Patriots waltzed into their matchup Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They came out on top against Word of God Academy by a score of 48-39. That's another feather in the cap for Christian Home Educators Fellowship, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Word of God Academy saw an underclassman step up: Shiloh Brokenberry scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Brokenberry scored a full 46.2% of Word of God Academy's points, the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Haynes , who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Christian Home Educators Fellowship pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Word of God Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Christian Home Educators Fellowship does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Word of God Academy will head out on the road to face off against NELA Christian Homeschool at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. NELA Christian Homeschool's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Word of God Academy's offense will have their work cut out for Word of God Academy.
