Northside - Pinetown hadn't done well against East Carteret recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Northside - Pinetown Panthers put the hurt on the East Carteret Mariners with a sharp 66-44 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Northside - Pinetown to victory were Malachi Moore and Zi'Mier Alexander. Moore went 10-for-16 en route to 26 points, while Alexander dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Alexander is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 25 games he's played dating back to last season. Max Vansant was another key player, putting up four points and six steals.

Northside - Pinetown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for East Carteret, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
