For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Longhorns have posted since February 27, 2025.
Lily Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. Williams was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.
Williams wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Belinda Avalos-Rojas, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Mesquite came up short against Horn on Tuesday and fell 7-3. The Skeeters have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
N. Barron made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. K. Jackson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
The victory made it two in a row for Cedar Hill and bumps their season record up to 13-14. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Mesquite, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8-1.
