Tyler proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 38) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Texas and snuck past 67-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Longview's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 28-3. As for Tyler, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-14 record this season.
