Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering might be getting used to good results now that the team have three wins in a row. On Thursday, they won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Oakhaven 13-12. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Oakhaven's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Cameron Woodruff, who accumulated 144 passing yards and picked up 35 yards on the ground.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering take on Freedom Prep Academy at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for Oakhaven, they will face off against Hillcrest.
