The Harding Skippers lost against the Badger Braves back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Harding was dealt a 61-6 loss at the hands of Badger. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Harding has scored all season.
Katie Grexa continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Badger, scoring 17 points along with eight steals and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Grexa has scored at least 25% of Badger's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Rice, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Harding bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.4 points per game. As for Badger, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harding won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Maplewood at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. One thing working in Maplewood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Badger, they will head out on the road to face off against Rootstown at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rootstown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Badger in Ohio (Rootstown is ranked 85th, while Badger is ranked 234th).
