The Centralia Panthers will challenge the Onaga Buffaloes at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Centralia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Centralia couldn't beat Onaga on April 7th even though they stacked six runs on them in the seventh inning. The Panthers fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 9-8. The loss was the Panthers' first of the season.

For Onaga's part, Addison DeChant and Marissa Sauvage did most of the damage at the plate: DeChant got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Sauvage went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Sauvage has hit this season. Abbie Ringel was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The win was the ninth in a row for Onaga, bringing their record up to 15-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Centralia, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Centralia's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. The Panthers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 stolen bases per game.
