Liberty Hill (Texas) put up 33 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 46-24 victory over
Wimberley (Texas).
The Panthers were up 6-3 at the half after taking the lead on a
Will Fromme touchdown run in the second quarter.
Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and the fourth quarter began with the margin still at three.
A 33-point fourth quarter helped Liberty Hill secure the big victory. LH scored on a touchdown run by
Jesse Perez, a kick return touchdown by
Jadon Durity Boatright, a defensive touchdown, a Fromme touchdown run and a touchdown run by
Nick Barrios in the quarter.
Fromme was the top performer for the Panthers. The junior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Texans'
Albertano Avila played well. He kicked one field goal and three extra points.
The defeat comes as a step back for Wimberley, which notched a 24-10 victory over La Vernia in its previous outing. With the win Liberty Hill extended its winning streak to four games.
Liberty Hill (4-1) goes up against Llano in a 3A Region I District 8 game matchup next week, while Wimberley (2-3) locks horns with Bandera in a 3A Region IV District 27 game.
