The Lowry Buckaroos will venture away from home to square off against the North Valleys Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lowry is coming into the game hot, having won their last 15 games.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Lowry and Elko, and Lowry kept the tradition alive. The Buckaroos came out on top against the Indians by a score of 10-5 on Friday.
Maite Bengochea made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Makinley Hislop, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Fallon Fowler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Valleys faced off against Douglas on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Tigers, falling 15-5.
Rihley Monticelli was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Lowry's record now sits at 24-3. As for North Valleys, they dropped their record down to 5-17 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Lowry came out on top in a nail-biter against North Valleys when the teams last played back in March of 2025, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Buckaroos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
