If the Tapestry Thunderhawks were riding high off their 81-59 takedown of the Western New York Maritime Charter Commodores last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tapestry took a 69-50 bruising from Lewis J. Bennett on Saturday. Tapestry lost against Lewis J. Bennett in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 68-66 score last time.
Lewis J. Bennett found their leader in underclassman Kuol Deng, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Sherrad Bennard III, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Tapestry's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lewis J. Bennett, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing East the next time they take the court. Tapestry will head out to face East at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Lewis J. Bennett will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
