Shiprock barely beat Navajo Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Shiprock beat Navajo Prep on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The Chieftains might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Shiprock has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Navajo Prep and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Navajo Prep beat Shiprock by a score of 12-6 later that day.
