Leading East Juniata to victory were Clark Ritzman and Wrett Smith. Ritzman scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds, while Smith scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of East Juniata's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Carolus, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Belleville Mennonite's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for East Juniata, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
