After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington Academy, Orono was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Central Red Devils as they made off with an 8-1 victory. Considering the Riots have won five games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Orono saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Ryder, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave Ryder a new career-high. Another was Andrew Barrett, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Orono moved to 6-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Central, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
