Basketball Recap: Community School of Davidson Skates Past Pine Lake Prep with Ease

Community School of Davidson won the last time they faced Pine Lake Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Community School of Davidson Spartans blew past the Pine Lake Prep Pride 59-26. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 22 points or more this season.

Community School of Davidson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Regan Downey led the charge by going 7 of 17 on her way to 17 points. Downey's afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Mccormick, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Raegan Blickley and Lea Schwaba certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Blickley posted ten points, while Schwaba had eight points.

Community School of Davidson's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Pine Lake Prep, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Community School of Davidson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-47 loss against North Iredell on the 28th. As for Pine Lake Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-32 defeat against South Iredell on the 28th.
