It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Maranatha can now relate to. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 42-28 to the Baldwin Park Braves. The Minutemen's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Maranatha lost, don't look at Cooper Berry. Despite the final result, he rushed for 36 yards and two TDs, and also caught one score.

Leading Baldwin Park to victory were Valentino May and Jacory Coleman. May threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes, while Coleman gained 174 total yards and two touchdowns. Coleman also rushed for 110 rushing yards, which is notable because the Braves are undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-5 otherwise.

Maranatha's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Baldwin Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.
