The Bruce Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. Their tough 100-80 loss to Potts Camp might stick with them for a while. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashton Pierce, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kobe Hooper, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds.
Bruce's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Potts Camp, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bruce will take on Vardaman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Potts Camp, they will head out on the road to face off against Rossville Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rossville Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Potts Camp in their respective states (Rossville Christian Academy is ranked 16th in Tennessee, while Potts Camp is ranked 152nd in Mississippi).
