Santa Fe Christian is 8-2 against Tri-City Christian since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:30 p.m. Tri-City Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Santa Fe Christian, who comes in off a win.
While Santa Fe Christian's victory against Foothills Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Knights last Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Torin Bennett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Santa Fe Christian's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maya Tyszkiewicz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Aspen Lee also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Tri-City Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Ramona last Friday and fell 7-6. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lilly Halverson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Abby Lisak was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Tri-City Christian suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 9-3-1. As for Santa Fe Christian, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Santa Fe Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-City Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Santa Fe Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Tri-City Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. Will Santa Fe Christian repeat their success, or does Tri-City Christian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
