Gulf Breeze is 1-9 against Pace since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Gulf Breeze Dolphins will look to defend their home field against the Pace Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Gulf Breeze has four wins , while Pace has ten dating back to last season).
On Tuesday, it was close, but Gulf Breeze sidestepped Crestview for a 4-2 win.

The team relied heavily on Sally Alberson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Ariana Mercado also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Pace put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's seventh consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Tate an 8-0 shutout.
Not much got past Hannah DeMarcus, who gave up just a hit and racked up 19 Ks to keep Tate off the board. DeMarcus has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Gracie Ueberroth was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Laila Loomis was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Pace hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tate struck out 19 times.
Gulf Breeze's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Pace, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Gulf Breeze has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pace struggles in that department as they've been averaging 17.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Gulf Breeze might still be hurting after the 11-4 loss they got from Pace when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Gulf Breeze avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
