The Screven County Gamecocks will head out on the road to face off against the Dublin Fighting Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Screven County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Dublin is ranked 110th).
Last Friday, Screven County came up short against Metter and fell 30-17. Screven County has struggled against Metter recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Screven County took the loss, they still got scores from Abram Hilton and TaCorey Grant.
Meanwhile, Dublin had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 52 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against Swainsboro as Dublin made off with a 41-20 victory. Considering Dublin has won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Metter's win bumped their season record to 5-5 while Screven County's defeat dropped theirs to 4-6.
Screven County strolled past Dublin in their previous meeting back in October of 2015 by a score of 26-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for Screven County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
