The Decatur Seahawks waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Cape Henlopen by a score of 65-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Brycen Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Davin Chandler, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Decatur pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points per game. As for Cape Henlopen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Decatur's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Clippers at 1:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Bennett has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 593 points over their last eight matchups. Cape Henlopen will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Buccaneers at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Delaware (Milford is ranked 34th, while the Vikings are ranked 21st).
