Homestead will head out on the road to challenge Los Altos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Homestead will be strutting in after a win while Los Altos will be coming in after a defeat.
Homestead faced off against Palo Alto for the first time this season, and Homestead walked away the winners. They didn't even let Palo Alto onto the board and left with a 2-0 win on Tuesday.
Homestead was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Daniel Morrissey and
Jonathan Berman, who scored.
Meanwhile, Los Altos has not won a game since December 16, 2023, a trend which continued on Thursday. Their tough 5-1 loss to Santa Clara might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Los Altos has suffered yet this season.
Their goal came courtesy of
Jack Walton, who's now up to two this season.
Homestead is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Los Altos, they now have a losing record at 4-5-2.
Homestead skirted past Los Altos 2-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Homestead since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
