Pine River Area had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lake City Trojans a 17-0 shutout. Considering the Bucks have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Pine River Area's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Lake City, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-21.

Coming up, Pine River Area will head out to challenge Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake City will be paying especially close attention to the Bucks' matchup: after the Bucks face off against the Mustangs, they'll take on Lake City again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
