The North Davidson Black Knights will head out on the road to square off against the East Forsyth Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
North Davidson took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Asheboro get on the board and left with a 20-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Black Knights, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Bryton Zimmerman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Katelyn Sears also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
North Davidson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, East Forsyth came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Demons 17-0. The contest marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Aaliyah Long was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Hannah Niten, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
The win got East Forsyth back to even at 6-6. As for North Davidson, their record now sits at 7-4.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. North Davidson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like East Forsyth struggles in that department as they've averaged .458. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Davidson beat East Forsyth 6-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Davidson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
