The Valor Christian Eagles will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Arapahoe Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Valor Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 252 points over their last four matchups.
Valor Christian pushed their score all the way to 65 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conway. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Valor Christian came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Colorado, while Conway is ranked 26th in Arkansas).
Despite their loss, Valor Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Quinn Vansickle, who scored 21 points along with 3 steals, was perhaps the best of all. The contest was Vansickle's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Rylie Beers, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe was able to grind out a solid victory over Doherty on Tuesday, taking the game 41-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arapahoe.
Their wins bumped Valor Christian to 3-1 and Conway to 5-3.
Valor Christian came up short against Arapahoe in their previous matchup back in March, falling 62-54. Can Valor Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
