New Providence led Mid-State 38 - Union in scoring this week by notching 39 points on Secaucus.
Bernards's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Baum threw for 64 and 1 touchdown and Ryan De Leon had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Sebastian Sanchez contributed 79 yards. Jordan Tantleff helped Bernards' passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 25 yards.
Sanchez was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 79 yards on 10 carries as the Mountaineers defeated Central. Teammate Baum added to the ground attack by rushing for 54 yards.
Bernards' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mountaineers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Baum has thrown for 1,002 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Tantleff has 23 catches for 472 yards.
The Pioneers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,928 from 8,427. The improvement was the result of a 39-20 victory over the Patriots last week.
