The New Berlin West Vikings were the 60-42 winner over the Greendale Panthers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. New Berlin West fell 62-52 to Greendale on Friday. New Berlin West just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Greendale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Yoder, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Yoder hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Greta Dombrowski, who scored 20 points.
New Berlin West has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Greendale, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
New Berlin West will be home for the holidays to greet Whitefish Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greendale, they will head out on the road to face off against West Bend West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. West Bend West is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
